Dr. Curtis Libby
About Me
Dr. Curtis M. Libby is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care for adults, with an emphasis on cataract and refractive surgery and glaucoma subspecialty care. A native of the Portland area, he has cared for patients in Maine for decades and is known for explaining diagnoses and options in clear, practical terms.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Vermont Medical School, completed ophthalmology residency training at Louisiana State University Medical Center, and went on to a glaucoma fellowship program at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Libby is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has served in leadership and teaching roles, including as a past president of the Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and as a clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine. His goal is to help patients protect their vision and feel confident at every step of care.
