Dr. Robert Anderson

Dr. Robert R. Anderson is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who practiced in Marin County for decades. He graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School and completed an additional year in Anatomic and Surgical Pathology. His training included a rotating surgical internship at the Medical College of Virginia, followed by residency and fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Anderson began his practice in Marin County in 1979 and served on the clinical staff at UCSF from 1980 until 2016. He held the position of Chair of Ophthalmology at Marin General Hospital for more than 20 years, contributing significantly to the local medical community. In September 2020, Dr. Anderson fully retired from medical practice and is now enjoying time with his family and outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and skiing.
