About Me
Dr. Shuler is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal disease and surgery. He treats a range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and macular hole. He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine.
Dr. Shuler earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory, followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at Duke University. He also conducted post-doctoral research at Emory. He has been practicing with Southeastern Retina Associates in Knoxville since 2012, where he provides care for patients with complex retinal diseases.
