About Me
Dr. Nick Anderson is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Southeastern Retina Associates in Knoxville, Tennessee. A native of Knoxville, Dr. Anderson completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Emory University and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Anderson’s clinical interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular hole, and epiretinal membrane. He is on staff at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and East Tennessee Children's Hospital, providing care to patients across the region.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Anderson is actively involved in research, having published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He directs an active clinical trials program at Southeastern Retina Associates, which he believes allows him to offer cutting-edge treatment options to his patients.
