About Me
Dr. Robert Boeglin is an Indianapolis native who completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry, medical school, and ophthalmology residency at Indiana University. He then pursued a glaucoma fellowship at Yale University, specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. Dr. Boeglin joined Midwest Eye Institute in 1991 and became President of the Institute's physician group in 1997, maintaining a busy clinical practice until 2002.
During his clinical career, Dr. Boeglin was an active lecturer at the American Academy of Ophthalmology national conference and received the AAO Achievement Award in 2002. He was also recognized by his peers as a Top Doctor in Indianapolis Monthly. In 2002, he transitioned to full-time health care administration, serving as President of Midwest Eye for 24 years before becoming Vice President in 2021. Dr. Boeglin co-founded Health Venture Management in 2007, which develops and manages outpatient surgery centers in partnership with IU Health.
