Dr. Michael Hopen

Dr. Michael L. Hopen is an ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist with special interests in cataract and anterior segment surgery, as well as comprehensive ophthalmology care. He focuses on up-to-date medical and minimally invasive surgical treatments for glaucoma and participates in clinical research, with experience in clinical trials and publications related to glaucoma.

Dr. Hopen graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2010 and earned an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business while completing his medical training. He completed residency at Indiana University and then advanced training with a glaucoma fellowship at El Paso Eye Surgeons in partnership with Texas Tech University. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in ophthalmology.
