Dr. Robert Reuther

Dr. Robert Reuther is a board-certified ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon at Carolina Eyecare Physicians in Summerville, South Carolina. He provides specialized care in cataract, laser, and refractive surgery, as well as diabetic eyecare and advanced glaucoma management. Dr. Reuther is committed to individualized patient care, utilizing the latest technologies to help patients preserve their vision.

Dr. Reuther completed his undergraduate education at Tulane University and earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He then completed an internship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and a residency at LSU School of Medicine Charity Hospital. He has served as an Associate Professor at MUSC and was named Clinical Instructor of the Year by the university’s physicians-in-training. Dr. Reuther is active in professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and serves on the South Carolina Board of Medicine.
