About Me
Dr. Robert G. Mobley is an ophthalmologist and the founder and director of Lakeside Ophthalmology Center, a private practice established in 1988. His practice is guided by a philosophy of providing quality personal eye care.
Dr. Mobley graduated with distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Scholar Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. He has been in private practice since 1984 and is certified in cataract surgery by the American Board of Eye Surgeons.
Dr. Mobley specializes in cataract surgery and was among the first ophthalmologists to perform small-incision 'no-stitch' surgery and laser-assisted cataract surgery. He also treats diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and macular conditions. He maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American College of Eye Surgeons.
