Dr. Robert Foster

Dr. Robert Foster is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal and vitreous diseases. He was raised in Birmingham, Alabama, where he completed his medical school and ophthalmology residency. Following a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Wake Forest University, he relocated to Greenville, South Carolina, to join Southern Eye Associates.

Dr. Foster's clinical practice focuses on conditions such as diabetic eye care, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and complex intraocular lens procedures. He performs advanced surgical interventions including macular surgery and vitreoretinal surgery to address these retinal disorders. Patients with diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, and other vitreoretinal issues can seek his expertise for comprehensive management.
