Dr. Melissa Ixcamey

Dr. Melissa Ixcamey is a skilled ophthalmologist who specializes in vitreoretinal surgery. She happily joined Southern Eye Associates in 2023 after completing a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at the Valley Retina Institute in McAllen, Texas. Prior to her fellowship, she gained extensive experience through her ophthalmology residency at Cook County Health and Hospital System in Chicago, where she also earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College.

Dr. Ixcamey's expertise covers a range of complex eye conditions, including diabetic eye disease, retinal detachment, macular surgery, complex intraocular lens procedures, and macular degeneration. She is passionate about providing precise and compassionate care to help patients preserve and improve their vision.

In her personal time, Dr. Ixcamey enjoys traveling and camping with her husband. They feel blessed to now call Greenville home, and she is dedicated to serving the community with her specialized knowledge and patient-centered approach.
