Dr. Robert A. Prinzi is a board-certified medical retina specialist who focuses on diagnosing and treating complex retinal and macular conditions. He cares for patients with concerns such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vein and artery occlusions, macular edema, retinal holes and tears, and persistent floaters, with the goal of preserving and improving vision whenever possible.

Dr. Prinzi earned his medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo and completed ophthalmology residency training at Henry Ford Health System. He then completed a medical retina fellowship at Emory University. He has practiced in the Grand Strand area since 2017 and emphasizes a compassionate, patient-centered approach that matches treatment plans to each person’s needs and long-term eye health.
