About Me

Dr. Remigio J. Flor is an oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a background in military medicine and academic teaching. Born and raised in Miami, he earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Miami, an M.A. in Medical Sciences from Loyola University Chicago, and an M.D. from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed ophthalmology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he served as chief resident and received the Colonel Juan d’Avis Award for excellence in surgery. He is currently completing fellowship training in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Texas Oculoplastic Consultants: Eye and Face. Dr. Flor cares for patients with functional eyelid disorders, periocular skin cancers, tearing problems, thyroid eye disease, and facial trauma, and also provides cosmetic enhancements. He emphasizes careful evaluation, clear expectations, and natural-appearing results tailored to each patient’s goals and daily life.
