About Me

Dr. Irina Belinsky is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic surgery and ocular oncology. She grew up in New York and was inspired by a family of physicians, including her mother and grandfather who were ophthalmologists. Dr. Belinsky attended Jefferson Medical College, where a National Institutes of Health grant to study eye cancers solidified her passion for ophthalmology. She completed her internship at California Pacific Medical Center, residency at New York University, and two advanced fellowships in ocular oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and ophthalmic plastic surgery at Wills Eye Hospital.

Dr. Belinsky currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. She has published in peer-reviewed medical literature, authored a book chapter on eyelid reconstruction, and lectures at national meetings. Recognized by Castle Connolly as a Top Doctor and for Exceptional Women in Medicine, she also received the Research Award from the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Belinsky has participated in surgical and teaching missions to Mongolia.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Belinsky enjoys running, standup paddle boarding, exploring Austin, and spending time with her family. She speaks three languages and has a passion for traveling the world.
