About Me
Dr. Ramin Schadlu is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. He provides comprehensive care for a wide range of retinal conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment. Dr. Schadlu is dedicated to offering advanced vitreoretinal surgical treatments and managing complex medical retina diseases, uveitis, and intraocular tumors.
His extensive training includes a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Barnes Retina Institute in St. Louis, where he gained deep expertise in surgical and medical retina care. Prior to his fellowship, he served as Chief Resident at Washington University in St. Louis, overseeing the eye trauma service and supervising the Barnes Eye Clinic. Dr. Schadlu was honored with the Golden Apple teaching award for his commitment to educating future ophthalmologists.
Dr. Schadlu has also contributed to the field through research, authoring numerous articles in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Ophthalmology and Retina.
