About Me
Dr. Rahul Mandiga is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retina and macular diseases. He has been providing care to patients in the South Puget Sound area since 2015, bringing expertise in vitreoretinal surgery. Dr. Mandiga focuses on diagnosing and managing conditions affecting the retina and vitreous.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Mandiga graduated with honors from Tufts University, where he studied Biology and Child Development. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at University Hospitals Eye Institute/Case Western Reserve University, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Mandiga further honed his skills through a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Retina and Vitreous of Texas in Houston. Before establishing his practice in Washington, he practiced for two years in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dr. Mandiga holds memberships in several professional societies and has presented his retinal disease research to peers at numerous meetings. He is dedicated to advancing retinal care through clinical practice and research. In his personal time, he enjoys cooking, photography, traveling, exploring local restaurants, and attending concerts with his family.
