Dr. Rachel Epstein

Rachel Epstein is a cornea specialist based in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating magna cum laude and phi beta kappa, before pursuing medicine at the Chicago Medical School. Her ophthalmology residency was completed at Rush University Medical Center.

Dr. Epstein underwent advanced fellowship training in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery with Chicago Cornea Consultants, joining the practice as a full-time associate in 2019. She specializes in treating corneal conditions, performing refractive surgeries like LASIK, and applying corneal cross-linking for keratoconus. Her research focuses on endothelial keratoplasty techniques and topography-guided laser vision correction, with publications in the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and presentations at international conferences.

In her personal time, Dr. Epstein enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two young sons.
