Dr. Rachel Patel

Rachel Patel, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special focus on uveitis and ocular inflammatory disease. She cares for adults with cataracts, glaucoma, and macular conditions, and is experienced in diagnosing and managing inflammatory eye disorders that often require close coordination with primary care and rheumatology. Dr. Patel’s approach emphasizes education, comfort, and shared decision-making so that each person understands their condition and the full range of medical, laser, and surgical options.

Dr. Patel completed residency and fellowship training at the University of Utah’s John A. Moran Eye Institute after earning her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Before joining Kaiser Permanente Colorado, she practiced within Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. She enjoys partnering with patients and families to protect vision and quality of life through clear communication, evidence-based care, and thoughtful follow-up.
