About Me
Dr. Peter Weber is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides personalized and compassionate care to patients with a wide range of eye conditions. Originally from New Jersey, he is committed to enhancing the quality of life for his patients by utilizing the latest advancements in ophthalmology.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Nanomedicine Engineering from the University of Virginia and completed his medical education at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Dr. Weber then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Mark J. Greenwald Award for Excellence in Extraocular Surgery for his proficiency in eyelid procedures.
Dr. Weber specializes in cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and eyelid surgery. He has additional training in manual small incision cataract surgery (MSICS), which helps expand access to sight-restoring care in resource-limited settings. In his own words, "Ophthalmology allows me to make a tangible difference in my patients’ lives by restoring their vision and, in many cases, their independence. The ability to help someone see clearly again is a privilege I cherish every day."
