About Me

Dr. Peter Weber is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who enjoys caring for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical eye needs. He studied Nanomedicine Engineering at the University of Virginia before earning his medical degree from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Mark J. Greenwald Award for Excellence in Extraocular Surgery. Dr. Weber’s clinical interests include cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and eyelid procedures. He is committed to clear communication and collaborative decision-making, taking time to explain diagnoses and treatment options so patients feel informed and confident. In addition to modern cataract techniques, he has training in manual small-incision cataract surgery (MSICS), an approach used to expand access to sight-restoring care in resource-limited settings. Whether optimizing vision after cataract surgery or helping patients manage chronic conditions like glaucoma and dry eye, Dr. Weber focuses on delivering careful, compassionate care tailored to each person’s goals.
