About Me
Dr. Rapoza is an internationally recognized authority in refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and the medical and surgical treatment of the cornea and ocular surface. He has conducted research on LASIK, PRK, corneal transplantation, and cataract surgery, and has participated in clinical trials for treatments of dry eye, ocular infections, and corneal transplant rejection. Dr. Rapoza has extensive experience teaching and providing medical care internationally, including in Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, and South America.
Dr. Rapoza completed his medical training at the Pritzker School of Medicine, followed by residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute and a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School and has trained numerous physicians in refractive, corneal, and cataract surgery.
Now practicing at Ophthalmic Consultants of Vermont, Dr. Rapoza continues to specialize in advanced cataract and refractive procedures, corneal transplantation, and management of ocular surface conditions.
