About Me

Dr. Paul Benjamin Pruett is an ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist providing comprehensive eye care. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology. He then attended Emory University for medical school, graduating magna cum laude, followed by an internship and ophthalmology residency at Emory where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Pruett also completed a glaucoma fellowship at Emory, specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma.

Previously, Dr. Pruett served as an Assistant Professor at Emory University for five years. During that time, he was the Residency Program Director and Chief of Service at Grady Memorial Hospital. He received the Thomas Aaberg, Sr., M.D. Clinical Teaching Award three times for his teaching excellence.

Currently, Dr. Pruett treats a range of conditions including cataracts, dry eyes, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma. He offers medical, laser, and surgical treatments for glaucoma. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping, as well as barbecue.
