About Me
Dr. Kenneth W. Olander is an ophthalmologist who sub-specializes in glaucoma. He joined University Eye Specialists in 1999 after completing his training in New Orleans and Milwaukee. Dr. Olander retired from full-time practice in 2015 but continues to see patients on a part-time basis through clinical trials.
His career includes extensive research, with participation in over 100 clinical trials involving pharmaceutical, surgical, and laser studies. He has authored 40 publications and three book chapters. Dr. Olander is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has held various committee positions.
Dr. Olander is active in the community through the Lions Club and InterFaith Health Clinic, providing eye care to those in need. He earned his medical and doctorate degrees from Tulane University and pursued a glaucoma fellowship at LSU Health Sciences Center.
