Dr. Paul Gaudio

Dr. Paul A. Gaudio is an ophthalmologist who specializes in ocular infectious and inflammatory diseases. He is central Connecticut’s first fellowship-trained expert in this field and founded Eye Disease Consultants in 2003. His day-to-day practice centers on treating inflammation and its secondary complications, including glaucoma, cataracts, and corneal scarring. He regularly performs complex corrective procedures and surgery to address these issues.

Dr. Gaudio is a clinical faculty member at the Yale Eye Center and frequently lectures at national ophthalmology conferences. He is dedicated to patient education, taking time to discuss conditions and reassure patients that vision-threatening diseases are often treatable. His extensive experience teaching ophthalmology residents further reflects his commitment to advancing eye care.
