Dr. Patrick Schumacher

Dr. Patrick Schumacher is a board-certified clinical ophthalmologist at Eye Specialists of Ohio. He brings a unique passion and precision to his practice, providing comprehensive eye care to patients. Dr. Schumacher graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University and earned his medical degree Cum Laude from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. He completed an internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital and surgical residency at the University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology, where he was selected as Chief Resident and achieved a board score in the 99th percentile.

Dr. Schumacher is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He also volunteers with EyeCare America, helping to provide accessible eye care to those in need. His clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, and refractive surgery. Outside of medicine, Dr. Schumacher enjoys staying active through running, weightlifting, and soccer.
