Dr. Parisa Emami Naeini

Dr. Parisa Emami-Naeini is a vitreoretinal surgeon and uveitis specialist at UC Davis Eye Center, where she serves as Director of the Uveitis Service and cares for adults with inflammatory and surgical retinal diseases. She provides both medical and surgical treatment for conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, macular hole, and epiretinal membrane. Her approach emphasizes careful diagnosis, advanced imaging, and clear communication to help patients understand options and recover the best possible vision.Dr. Emami-Naeini completed ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute and fellowships in vitreoretinal surgery at UC Davis and in uveitis at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute. She earned an MD and MPH from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Her research focuses on retinal imaging and ocular inflammation, and she has authored peer-reviewed studies and book chapters. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and speaks Farsi in addition to English.
