About Me
Dr. Pamela Cheung is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained specialist in cataract and cornea care. She earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, completed her ophthalmology residency at Columbia, and pursued advanced fellowship training in refractive and corneal surgery at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Before moving to the Washington, D.C. area, she served on the faculty at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University.
Dr. Cheung focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts and a wide range of corneal conditions. She performs advanced cataract surgery and offers refractive procedures such as LASIK to reduce dependence on glasses. Her approach is centered on personalized, patient-centered care, utilizing the latest surgical techniques to achieve optimal visual outcomes. Whether addressing common issues like dry eye or more complex corneal disorders, Dr. Cheung is committed to helping patients see clearly and improve their quality of life.
