Dr. Julie Gutmark

Dr. Julie Gutmark is a board-certified ophthalmologist offering comprehensive eye care at Montgomery Eye Physicians and Surgeons in Silver Spring, Maryland. She has been practicing since 2006 and specializes in cataract surgery, including advanced laser cataract surgery and premium lens options, as well as glaucoma laser surgery, corneal surgery, refractive surgery, and minor procedures such as chalazion excision and lid lesion biopsy. Dr. Gutmark takes a personalized approach to help patients achieve optimal vision and eye health.

Dr. Gutmark completed a Cornea and Anterior Segment Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She also serves veterans at the Washington, D.C. VA Hospital. She is fluent in Hebrew and conversational in Spanish, allowing her to communicate effectively with diverse patients.

In addition to clinical care, Dr. Gutmark has taught at Washington Hospital Center and Wilmer Eye Institute. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
