About Me
Dr. N. Douglas Baker is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist in Columbus, Ohio. He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed a glaucoma fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Baker also completed his ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University and a flexible medical internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
At Central Ohio Eye and Plastic Surgery, Dr. Baker provides care for a wide range of eye conditions with a particular focus on glaucoma management and surgery. He offers advanced treatments including microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), cataract surgery, LASIK, dry eye therapy, and oculoplastic procedures such as eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty, and facelifts. Dr. Baker also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University and is actively involved in teaching residents and fellows.
Dr. Baker is a recipient of the Makley-Battles teaching award and serves as principal investigator for the National Surgical Glaucoma study. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Glaucoma Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
