About Me
Dr. Nishi Shah is a diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine for her medical school education and graduated with the highest distinction. She completed her residency training at Callahan Eye Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Thereafter, she completed a one-year fellowship in cornea and external disease at the University of Florida Shands Hospital, where she focused on cataract surgery, partial and full-thickness corneal transplants, and ocular neoplasm excision and reconstruction.
Dr. Shah’s clinical experience and training focus on the medical management of diseases and conditions of the cornea and external eye including corneal dystrophies, inflammatory conditions of the cornea, and infectious corneal disease. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Cornea Society. She has been honored by the Gold Humanism and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Societies for her compassionate patient care and high academic achievements.
Dr. Shah recently moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and two children. She enjoys outdoor activities, dancing, playing board games, and sports. Dr. Shah is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.
