About Me
Dr. Netan Choudhry is an internationally recognized vitreoretinal surgeon with affiliations at the University of Toronto and Harvard Medical School. He is a thought leader in retinal imaging and the diagnosis and treatment of rare disorders of the retina and vitreous. Dr. Choudhry pioneered OCT imaging of the peripheral retina and is actively developing novel non-invasive imaging devices for the retina and vitreous.
Dr. Choudhry is involved in medical education at the University of Toronto Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences and serves as a faculty member for the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Harvard Medical School Annual Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellows course. He has been an invited speaker at over 75 international conferences and has published numerous book chapters in retinal medicine and wide-field imaging. His research has focused on conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular holes and puckers, and uncommon conditions like retinitis pigmentosa and macular telangiectasia.
