Dr. Neha Kumar

Dr. Neha Kumar is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 10 years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions. She specializes in cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care, offering personalized, high-quality treatment to her patients at the Newark office.

Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Kumar earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center in 2013. Since completing her training, she has been providing eye care in Delaware and was recognized as a Top Doc by Delaware Today magazine in 2019.

Prior to joining Eye Physicians and Surgeons in 2025, Dr. Kumar practiced at the Wilmington VA Medical Center, caring for veterans and teaching the next generation of ophthalmologists. She served as adjunct faculty and a Residency Site Director for the Temple University Ophthalmology Program, receiving the Faculty Teacher of the Year award in 2023.
