Dr. Jenny Chen is a glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon dedicated to clear communication, thoughtful second opinions, and evidence-based care. She earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute (UCLA), and pursued fellowship training in glaucoma at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. She also completed additional fellowship training in trauma at Washington University/Barnes Hospital, giving her broad experience with urgent and complex eye conditions. Joah F. Aliancy, MD, is a glaucoma specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist dedicated to combining advanced techniques with compassionate, community-minded care. A Florida native, he founded Clermont Eye Institute after several years in group practice and now provides both surgical and medical management for glaucoma alongside modern cataract surgery. He works closely with each patient to match treatment intensity to disease severity and life priorities, from medication plans to laser therapy and lens choices. Dr. Aliancy trained in ophthalmology at Columbia University’s Harkness Eye Institute, served as clinic chief resident, and completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. He also completed an ocular pathology fellowship at the Moran Eye Center and has participated in funded research on telemedicine glaucoma screening and intraocular lens biocompatibility.
