Dr. Naryan Sabherwal

Dr. Ryan (Naryan) Sabherwal is a retina specialist who diagnoses and treats diseases affecting the retina and vitreous. His clinical interests include conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, vascular occlusions, uveitis, and ocular oncology.

He completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Rush University and Illinois Retina Associates after ophthalmology residency training at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Sabherwal earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and studied health sciences as an undergraduate at James Madison University. He brings a patient-centered approach to both medical and surgical retina care and has participated in research and education, including recognition for presentation excellence during training. Dr. Sabherwal works with patients to explain imaging results, outline treatment options, and support long-term vision goals with clear follow-up plans.
