Dr. Michael Banitt is an ophthalmologist who joined Northwest Eye Surgeons in 2019, specializing in the management and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. With a commitment to evidence-based care, he utilizes the latest and safest technology to ensure optimal outcomes for his patients. Dr. Banitt has over 15 years of clinical and surgical experience in hospital settings, including roles as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Associate Chief of Service for Ophthalmic Surgery at the University of Washington Medical Center.
Dr. Banitt has contributed significantly to the field through extensive research, having published over 30 peer-reviewed articles on cornea and glaucoma topics. He frequently lectures at national and international meetings and serves as a peer reviewer for leading ophthalmology journals. Additionally, he shares his expertise globally by teaching cornea and glaucoma care for international humanitarian organizations.
