About Me
Dr. Ernesto Golez III is an ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist dedicated to preserving and improving his patients' vision. He completed his medical degree with honors from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and then pursued extensive training in ophthalmology and glaucoma. His fellowship at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary allowed him to work directly with the inventor of the SLT laser, Dr. Mark Latina, and he has been practicing ophthalmology since 2008.
At Cascadia Eye, Dr. Golez focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, utilizing advanced laser surgery techniques to manage the condition and prevent vision loss. He is also skilled in post‑cataract correction and provides comprehensive medical eye exams for a wide range of eye health concerns. His approach combines clinical expertise with a kind and friendly demeanor, ensuring patients feel comfortable and well‑cared for.
Dr. Golez is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Outside of his practice, he enjoys cooking, singing with the Skagit Valley Chorale, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife, who is also a physician.
