About Me
Dr. Michael Johnson is a board-certified retinal surgeon who provides clinical and surgical care for a wide range of retinal conditions. He completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University and earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia. Dr. Johnson also conducted advanced research as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellow at the National Institutes of Health, focusing on the molecular and cell biology of the retina. He received his clinical eye and retina training at leading institutions including Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Hospital, the University of Pennsylvania, Wills Eye Hospital, and the University of Virginia.
Dr. Johnson is available for consultation on conditions such as retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, vein occlusions, macular degeneration, macular pucker, and macular holes. He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
