Dr. Eric Jablon

Dr. Eric Jablon is a retina specialist providing care for conditions affecting the retina, vitreous, and macula. He has particular expertise in macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, ocular trauma, uveitis, and choroidal melanomas. A South Carolina native, he provides care to the Lowcountry for vision loss, vision impairment, and vision loss prevention.

Dr. Jablon completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and a vitreoretinal fellowship at New England Retina Associates at Yale University. His fellowship provided specialized training in treating choroidal melanomas, making him the only retina surgeon in South Carolina with this education. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Charleston Ophthalmological Society. He also served as a co-investigator in multiple clinical trials for retinal conditions.
