About Me

Dr. Michael J. Siegel is an ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma care, from early detection and medical management to advanced laser and surgical treatments. He sees patients for personalized plans to protect vision, including minimally invasive glaucoma procedures, traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery when needed.

A Detroit-area native, Dr. Siegel earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed internship training at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, followed by ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute at Detroit Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then pursued fellowship training in glaucoma at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. In addition to clinical care, he teaches and mentors physicians-in-training and stays engaged with ongoing research and education in glaucoma and complex anterior segment surgery.
