Dr. Michael Harris

Dr. Michael Harris was a board certified ophthalmologist and the founder of Livingston Eye Associates. He specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal and vitreous conditions, and was known for incorporating cutting-edge diagnostic technologies such as Optos wide-field retinal imaging, optical coherence tomography, and visual field testing into his practice. Dr.

Harris received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University, completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center, and served as a medical officer in the United States Naval Reserves. He was also a full professor at RWJ/Barnabas Health Medical Center. After more than four decades of dedicated service to the community, Dr. Harris retired on August 31, 2019, and passed away on December 1, 2019. His legacy of compassionate care and technological innovation continues to inspire.
