Meet Dr. Michael Grodin
About Me
Dr. Michael Grodin is a board-certified vitreo-retinal specialist and surgeon at Katzen Eye Group, providing care to patients in the Baltimore area including Lutherville, Towson, Bel Air, and Baltimore. He focuses on the medical and surgical management of diseases affecting the retina, vitreous, and macula, such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, macular holes, and vascular occlusive disease. Dr. Grodin also treats complications from cataract surgery, ocular infections, and ocular inflammation. He is dedicated to using state-of-the-art technology to help patients improve or preserve their vision.
Dr. Grodin serves as the Director of Clinical Research and Principal Investigator at Katzen Eye Group and has participated in major clinical trials investigating anti-VEGF treatments. He completed postdoctoral ophthalmology training at Michigan State University and a vitreo-retinal surgical fellowship at The National Retina Institute. He is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and a member of several professional organizations.
