Meet Dr. Michael David Patterson

Dr. Michael Patterson is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing comprehensive eye care with expertise in both surgical and medical treatments. He offers a wide range of ophthalmic services including cataract surgery with premium lens options, laser vision correction procedures like LASIK and PRK, and specialized glaucoma management using techniques such as iStent and trabeculectomy. Dr. Patterson also treats ocular surface conditions and performs cosmetic and functional eyelid procedures.

Dr. Patterson completed his medical education at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at Palmetto Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He maintains active memberships in professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve.
