Dr. Meryl Sundy

Dr. Meryl Sundy is a managing partner at Infocus Eye Care, where she has been providing expert eye care since joining the practice in 2018. She specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology with a particular focus on cataract surgery, including the use of premium lens technologies. Dr. Sundy manages a wide range of eye conditions, such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration, offering personalized treatment plans for each patient.

Before becoming an ophthalmologist, Dr. Sundy graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where she earned degrees in American Studies and French. She then served in the Peace Corps in Senegal, teaching small business development techniques for two years. Her medical journey included pre-medical training at Washington University in St. Louis, medical school at the University of Missouri, and an internship in Internal Medicine with the Legacy Health System in Portland. She completed her ophthalmology training at the renowned Casey Eye Institute at OHSU in Portland.

Dr. Sundy is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology. She lives in Bend with her husband, who is a creative director and illustrator, and their two sons.
