About Me
Dr. Meredith Horacek is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and comprehensive medical eye care for glaucoma and diabetes. As a native Texan, she is thrilled to be serving patients at Berkeley Eye Center in the Katy and Brenham locations.
Dr. Horacek earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from the UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine. She completed her intern year at MacNeal Hospital in Chicago, where she was awarded Intern of the Year, and her ophthalmology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and Texas Medical Association. Her clinical interests include cataract surgery, specialty intraocular lenses, and eyelid procedures such as blepharoplasty and chalazion removal. Dr. Horacek is committed to advocacy for her field and her patients.
