Dr. Melinda Binkley

Dr. Melinda Fry Binkley is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who treats a full spectrum of eye conditions including cataract, dry eye, glaucoma, and retina disease. She is proficient at cataract surgery as well as ophthalmic laser procedures. Dr. Binkley strives to deliver advanced, yet personalized eye care for her patients in a compassionate manner, believing optimal outcomes are achieved when patients understand their condition and treatment goals. She aims to educate and involve her patients in their care to attain optimal vision.

Dr. Binkley was born in Boston but grew up in Houston, Texas, where she completed her undergraduate studies and then medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. She was drawn to ophthalmology because it offers the unique opportunity to be both a physician and surgeon, and she finds the field exciting and constantly advancing. She completed her training in Seattle and Los Angeles, where she fell in love with the West Coast. Dr. Binkley loves the active lifestyle of the Northwest and is happy to be in Portland with her husband.

Outside of work, Dr. Binkley enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, hiking, running, and traveling. She loves exploring the natural beauty of the Northwest with her husband and together they enjoy all the amazing restaurants and activities Portland has to offer.
