Dr. Mehdi Roozbahani

Dr. Tommaso Vagaggini is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon with Retina Consultants of Minnesota. He cares for adults with medical and surgical diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and complex macular disorders. Patients can expect careful examination, clear explanations, and a treatment plan that may include advanced imaging, office-based injections or laser, and, when needed, modern retinal surgery. Dr. Vagaggini graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University and earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed internship in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. He joined Retina Consultants of Minnesota in 2022 and is committed to delivering accessible, evidence-based retinal care across the region.

Dr. Sahal H. Saleh is an ophthalmologist focusing on diseases and surgery of the retina, macula, and vitreous. He evaluates and treats conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and macular disorders. Patients value his collaborative style, clear explanations, and thoughtful guidance through both office-based treatments and surgical care when needed. Dr. Saleh earned his undergraduate degree with high distinction from the University of Michigan, where he also completed medical school. He completed an internship at Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak and ophthalmology residency training at the Beaumont Eye Institute in Royal Oak, Michigan. In 2025, he joined Retina Consultants of Minnesota to pursue fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Dr. Zeeshan Haq is a retina specialist with Retina Consultants of Minnesota who evaluates and treats the full spectrum of macular, retinal, and vitreous disorders. He manages age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, macular pucker and hole, flashes and floaters, and retinal tears and detachments, offering in-office treatments and microsurgery when needed. Patients and colleagues appreciate his steady communication, team-based coordination, and commitment to clinical research. Raised in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Haq earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where he served as chief resident and received a campus-wide Teaching Excellence Award for Cherished Housestaff. He then completed fellowship training with Retina Consultants of Minnesota (VitreoRetinal Surgery, P.A.) and now practices across the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.
