About Me

Dr. Megan M. Nichols is a retina specialist and surgeon who focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the retina and vitreous. She cares for patients with both urgent retinal problems and chronic retinal disease, using detailed examination and modern diagnostic testing to guide treatment decisions.

Dr. Nichols received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. She completed a preliminary internal medicine year at Lankenau Medical Center, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia. She then pursued subspecialty training in vitreoretinal disease and surgery through a vitreoretinal fellowship at Beth Israel Lahey Health. Her clinical interests include retinal tears and detachments, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, flashes and floaters, and retinal vascular occlusions. She is committed to helping patients understand their diagnosis and the steps needed to protect and preserve vision.
