About Me
Dr. Meena S. George is a vitreoretinal surgeon who diagnoses and treats complex retina and macula conditions that can threaten sight. He cares for patients with problems such as diabetic eye disease, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and inflammatory retinal disease, using advanced imaging and modern surgical techniques. He takes a careful, step-by-step approach to help patients understand what is happening in their eyes and what treatment can realistically achieve.
Dr. George completed medical and graduate training at Columbia University, followed by ophthalmology residency at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the USC Eye Institute. His background in research and education supports an evidence-based style of care focused on preserving vision and supporting patients over time.
