Dr. Matthew Floyd

Dr. Matthew T. Floyd is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who enjoys caring for adults with common and complex eye conditions. He takes time to understand each person’s goals and explains options clearly—whether discussing lens choices, planning surgery, or addressing medical eye disease. Patients see him at Eye Consultants of Atlanta’s Fayetteville and Newnan offices.

Dr. Floyd earned his BS in Microbiology from Clemson University and his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a transitional year at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and his ophthalmology residency at Emory Eye Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and active in national professional societies.
