About Me
Dr. Matthew Phillips is a cataract and LASIK surgeon serving Southern Oklahoma. He was awarded a National Merit scholarship to attend the University of Oklahoma, where he earned a B.S. in Microbiology with Special Distinction and was accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2012.
Dr. Phillips completed his medical internship and ophthalmology residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. After residency, he returned home to practice ophthalmology in Durant, Oklahoma for two and a half years before joining RGB Eye Associates in January 2019. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Christian Ophthalmology Society.
Dr. Phillips has deep roots in Bryan County, having grown up in Bokchito and graduated as Valedictorian from Rock Creek High School. He and his wife, DeAnne, have four children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, and volunteering as an official at local academic bowl tournaments.
