About Me
Dr. Hena Khaja is a board-certified ophthalmologist who treats patients at Texas Eye Doctors in McKinney, Texas. She specializes in ophthalmic disease, ocular surgery, lens implantation, and retinopathy. Dr. Khaja is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art treatments that utilize her extensive skills in eye surgery and disease management.
A Houston native, Dr. Khaja graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas where she majored in human biology with a focus on pathogenesis and immunities. She earned her medical degree from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, graduating with honors in surgery and ophthalmology. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati, where she served as chief resident and presented on cancer-associated retinopathy, lupus retinopathy, and retinal phlebitis.
Dr. Khaja holds certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the Cincinnati Society of Ophthalmology. She has conducted research on acute maculopathy and a new technique for phacoemulsification and lens implantation, and she looks forward to providing the best ophthalmologic care to patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
