About Me
Dr. Matthew E. Raecker is an ophthalmologist whose practice emphasizes cornea care and comprehensive ophthalmology. He treats a wide range of eye concerns and provides surgical options when needed, including cataract surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK), and cornea transplant procedures.
Dr. Raecker completed his undergraduate education at St. Olaf College and earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He then completed ophthalmology residency training at the Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health and Science University, followed by fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery through the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and focuses on helping patients understand their options—from everyday vision needs to advanced cornea and ocular surface care.
